My best friend from high school, Laura, gave me a leather-bound journal years ago. She had purchased it for me in Italy.
I've been writing in it for a few years.
Anyway, today I read the quote she wrote on its dedication page. It brought more meaning to me today than it has in the many years I have looked at it. I'm grateful for her and for the wisdom she has taught me over our lifetime of friendship.
